Surat At Taubah terdiri dari atas 129 ayat termasuk golongan surat-surat Madaniyyah. Surat ini dinamakan 'At Taubah' yang berarti pengampunan berhubung kata 'At Taubah' berulang kali disebut dalam surat ini.
